INTERNATIONAL KITE FESTIVAL

Hyderabad hosted the 3rd International Kite Festival at the Parade Ground from 13 to 15 January 2017. I got the chance to visit it and took a friend along. I had never been to a fair before and was mildly surprised by the melee of colours, overflow of emotions and the magnitude of skill on display. I loved the way people flocked to the event and enjoyed the show put up by the expert kite-flyers who had flown in from around the world to showcase their expertise. The event was organised by the Government of Telangana on grounds of the Makar Sankranti festival which is widely celebrated across the state.
