On completing five years at Sportskeeda

On this day, five years ago, I joined Sportskeeda, and began my journey as a sports journalist. All I knew was how to write and frame sentences back then, and it is here that I learnt my ropes as a reporter. I was in the final year of my undergraduate degree when I started, and in a sense, this organisation has seen me become a man from a boy.

Sportskeeda has given me an identity parallel to what I already have- that of a professional cricketer- and for this, I can never thank them enough. The people I have been fortunate to work with are leaders in the truest sense of the word, and barely a day goes by when I don’t learn something from them. Friendship, rarely a word associated with one’s colleagues, blooms unabated here.

As a result, Habil Sherule, Sooryanarayanan Sesha, Pratyush Rohra, Arya Sekhar Chakraborty, Bidipto Datta, Sayantan Guha, Rudransh Khurana, Pragadeesh Shanmugam, Raghav Tikmany and Soumarya Dutta are all men for whom I will go to war.

The environment at Sportskeeda is relaxed yet extremely driven and one surrounds oneself with people filled with immensely positive and problem-solving mindsets. No corporate organisation would have tolerated me having a professional career in cricket with my numerous absences, but Sportskeeda chose to put their faith in me, and for that, I will always remain grateful. I can never repay them for what they have given me. I truly, truly enjoy waking up every day and contributing to my organisation!

Add to that the perks, unlimited leave policy and flexible working hours, and there is no better media house in the country than my beloved SK.

Shuffling across numerous profiles and departments since 2018, I am still here. Five years down, and many many more to come!
