Eatery Review: The Coffee Cup, Hyderabad

Address: 1st Floor, E89, Gokul Nagar Rd, behind BP Petrol Bunk, Lakshmipuram Colony, Sainikpuri, Secunderabad, Telangana- 500062.

The Coffee Cup is one of the most iconic continental cafes in the city of Hyderabad and has made a niche of its own in its northeastern ramparts. Set in the dusty bylanes that abut the Sainikpuri X Roads, it has, for long, been a place of pilgrimage for students, especially those from the adjoining university vicinity of Bhavan’s.

The decor is homely and inviting, with bookshelves exhibiting rare works of literature. The superhero-themed wallpapers and stickers on the wall add a sense of Gothic seasoning.

The Arrabiata Pasta and Spanish Omelettes are two of their most-ordered things, along with cups of hot latte. The helpers are extremely friendly and well-meaning. A good option for those with not very deep pockets- the perfect place for students to congregate.
