THE MAN IN THE MIRROR

The man I see in the mirror today
Has miscalculated fate and scuffled his way
Looking inwards to a life full of grey
As his struggles finally come to stay
The man in the mirror is being led astray

The man I see in the mirror on this day
Has let his sins arrive and make him pay
Hoping for another chance to come his way
He is torn between loyalties at the close of play
The man in the mirror is sailing away

When I look into the man in the mirror’s eyes
I see them fill themselves with ice
Glancing upwards momentarily to the skies
Curious whether the strife is worth the prize
The man in the mirror will not compromise

The man in the mirror doesn’t quite understand
That things in life don’t often go as planned
It may be it a dream very small or grand
It has been a journey no less than a fairyland
The man in the mirror asks for a helping hand.
