INFALLIBLE

You see the church looming up,
You go searching for your heart
But you know you can’t find it,
‘Cause you have come to an end to praying.

You hear the temple bells toll,
You start looking for your soul
But you know you have none,
As you have used up all your wishes.

You walk through the gates of the graveyard,
Wanting to run away from the world
But you can’t feel your legs,
As you have consumed all of your resilience.

You walk down the courtyards of nothing,
Hoping to escape from the clutches of the mind,
But you see things in a different light,
And you’ve run out of all your trying.

You stride across the boulevards of love,
Wishing to experience despair again,
But you have been broken and been mended,
You’re dying now, no longer infallible.
